This picture is of Keith Houchen’s spectacular diving header which set Coventry on the road to victory in the 1987 FA Cup final and earned him the BBC Match of the Day’s Goal of the Season Award. It also made a great photograph!

As you can see, we’ve had some great fun trying to recreate this legendary photo ourselves. Our Communciations Manager even got his kittens involved!

We’ve managed to get hold of one of the original magazines for the 1987 FA Cup Final! 

It’s a bit of a beast at 120 pages and contains loads of information, not only about Coventry City FC and Tottenham Hotspur, but all of the teams that played in the cup that year.

There’s also articles about the best goals to be scored in the history of the FA Cup so far and a run down of controversial decisions made by referees in past FA Cup matches.
